Surveys are conducted to identify issues that influence a voter to elect a particular candidate and analyse the voters’ perception of the performance of their elected representatives.
The purpose of the surveys is to shift the focus from personalities to issues.
During our survey of 214 Karnataka Assembly constituencies, conducted in October and November 2009, we talked to 8,192 respondents of various demographics. Our report includes a qualitative review and administrative detail of governance in Karnataka.
