Economic Survey 2017-18

DAKSH contributed to the chapter, ‘Ease of Doing Business’s Next Frontier: Timely Justice’ in the Economic Survey 2017-18 published by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. DAKSH data was used to analyse the realities and long shadow of delays and pendency across the legal landscape and its impact on economic activity. The data analysed by DAKSH was used to determine average pendency of civil suits in Delhi and Bombay, pending economic cases in five High Courts, and the age of cases related to companies, arbitration, and taxation.
